Social Skills Groups

Social Skills groups are designed to provide a safe space for individuals to work on social interactions, emotional regulation, and communication among peers. Some things that will be taught in my groups are: empathy, conversation skills, turn-taking, boundaries, problem solving and more! Social Skills groups are beneficial to those who are neurodivergent because it provides a structured environment to practice skills and boost confidence. Summer Social Skills Group

Magic the Gathering: Social Skills Group

Delve into the word of magic the gathering, a table top trading card game where you can battle amongst peers utilizing a commander deck! Work on goals, improve communication skills, utilize tools to reduce cognitive load, while socially interacting with peers in a world of FANTASY. NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY, All are welcomed! Commander decks are provided for use if needed. Participants can bring their own decks if they so choose. After gameplay there will be a game reflection, where participants reflect on decisions made in game, actions taken and how they relate to real life, and perspective taking to build social awareness and empathy.

10-13 years old (11am-12:30pm)
14-17 years old (1pm-2:30pm)

Social Skills Group

For the little ones struggling with taking turns, setting and respecting boundaries, difficulty solving social problems, low self-esteem and low impulse control join me for this Play/Curriculum based social skills group. Where we will work on goals utilizing play and hand picked therapeutic group activities.
